Torbay League Competitions are Resuming

We are delighted to announce that over-the-board Torbay Chess League competitions will be resuming in the 2021-22 season. The scope of these competitions will be reduced compared with pre-Covid seasons, due to the fact that not all clubs and players yet feel ready to participate in over-the-board home and away fixtures.
There will be two standard play leagues for teams of four players, named "Division A" (no rating limits) and "Division B" (maximum team rating under 6200).
- Division A will be contested by Newton Abbot, South Hams, Teignmouth and Torquay Boys' Grammar School.
- Division B will be contested by Newton Abbot, South Hams and Torquay Boys' Grammar School.
There will also be a knockout competition for teams of six players (maximum team rating under 10000), contested by Newton Abbot, South Hams, Teignmouth and Torquay Boys' Grammar School.
